Occ Summary

Supervise and participate in the construction, installation, modification, maintenance and repair of electrical appliances, systems, facilities and related electronic controls and devices.

Work Performed

Supervise and participate in the construction, installation, analyses setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate duties incidental to the work described herein. modification, maintenance and repair of electrical appliances, systems, facilities and related electronic controls and devices by interpreting blueprints, manufacturers specifications, written and verbal instructions.Plan and schedule work for the group ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate manning, space and facilities for subsequent performance of duties.Assist in the establishment of preventive maintenance programs for Medical Center electrical systems and facilities.Train and instruct new employees.Prepare reports and recommendations or conclusions.Supervise various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers and vacation schedules.Perform other related

Minimum Qualifications


Work requires educational background normally equivalent to high school plus 2 years of formal technical training in the principles of electricity and electrical designs.


Work requires 2 years of journeyman's experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures from blueprints, schematics and sketches.Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience

Degrees, Licensures, Certifications

Work requires North Carolina electrician licensure or certification. Need to be a Licensed Electrician!!!
