General Description of the Job Class
Directs the provision of medical nutrition therapy and the nutrition care process by supervising the activities of clinical dietitians and diet technician staff.
Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
Leadership role provides oversight to Clinical Dietitian team, including lead RD, Food Service Supervisors and Food Service team.
Part of a great management team including an Administrative Director, Executive Chef and Nutrition Informatics. Teamwork allows for greater work/life balance than in other management roles.
Maintenance of top-rated Room Service program.
Development of Food Insecurity programs.
HR functions with an emphasis on coaching and development.
Representation of the Nutritional Services team with hospital administration, medical, nursing and allied health professionals.
Mentorship to Nutrition students working in food service roles.
Quality initiatives (clinical and food service) with a focus on data driven outcomes.
Policy development and monitoring in accordance with regulatory agencies.
Leadership and development of four departmental supervisors.
Development of training material for departmental programs for both clinical and non-clinical team members.

Required Qualifications at this Level
Education:Master’s Degree required.
Experience:Four years of experience in clinical nutrition.
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification:
Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (American Dietetic Association) and Licensed by the N.C. Board of Dietetics and Nutrition.
