Occ Summary
Independently plan and provide professional nursing care for patients inaccordance with physician orders and establ ishedpolicies andprocedures. Compensation is a flat rate that is based on yearsofexperience.
Work Performed
Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing careutilizing the nursing process for patients in accordance with physicianorders and established policies an dprocedures. Use professional nursingjudgment to individualize the plan ofcare based on assessment of thepatient's baseline needs and response t ocare.Delegate tasks and supervise the activities of other licensed andu nlicensed care providers.Assist other nursing personnel in the deliveryo fnursing care and actas team leader or charge nurse for a group of pati ents or an entire unitas assigned.Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the environment ofcare including equipment andmaterial reso urces.Participate in own professionaldevelopment by maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriateassistan ce or educational offerings.Act as preceptor and support the development of other staff and formallearners.Participate in the identificationofcl inical or operational performanceimprovement opportunities and inperform ance improvement activities.Perform other related duties incidental toth e work described herein.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
Work requires graduation from an accredited BSN or Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. All registered nurses without a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (or higher) will be required to enroll in an appropriate BSN program within two years of their start date and to complete the program within five years of their start date.
Experience
2 years of appropriate clinical experience required
Degrees, Licensures, Certifications
Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina. BLS required.
